What is Lemonability?

“Lemonability is a rating we assign to each car, based on the eligibility for compensation via the lemon law.  The more car problems reported by owners over time, the higher the rating.”

The GMC Sierra is popularly seen as a high-class truck model of the GMC automatics. Even the automakers call it one of their most-distinct products. However, customers cannot say the same since after spending so much money on a ride, they didn’t expect too many imperfections.

The following are some disappointing faults Sierra users didn’t expect when they paid to get their drive.

ENGINE PROBLEM

GMC Sierra cannot boast of a competent engine which should be dependable and powerful enough to transport heavy loads. Yet, this Sierra engine is another disappointment to GMC drivers globally.

For a newly-bought vehicle, a strange engine sound is not a good sign but it seems like an exception with this truck. Moreover, many complaints have been made about the engine lights coming on unwarranted and also a faulty knock sensor.

BRAKE FAULTS

The ability of a vehicle to stop before collision in emergencies is something the brake control system ensures. With GMC Sierra, this may be another big disappointment because there have been multiple complaints about the ABS failing.

This only endangers the lives of occupants because once the ABS fails, the brakes cause the truck to lock up. On locking up, it may furtherly spin out of control to crash other cars or even worse hit a solid obstacle.

POOR FUEL SYSTEM

Apart from the inconvenient fuel economy of most GMC trucks, the fuel mechanics is another dissatisfying feature. Many drivers complain of the smell of smoke strong in the cab and even more smoke coming out of the hood of the truck. What’s scary about this aspect is how often this smoke smells like burning plastics or electrical burns.
