From first sight, the 2020 Chevrolet Colorado appears to be a powerful, unstoppable mid-size truck; at least, that’s what people who haven’t driven it think. Let’s look at what troubles this truck well enough for people to call it a lemon.

HEADLIGHT PROBLEM

Trucks are for heavy duty, and there are some basic requirements they must meet, one of which is bright lights. The 2020 Chevrolet Colorado falls short massively as owners lament about the overly dim lights. Visibility is very poor when you drive this vehicle at night.

The automakers are aware of this issue and have admitted to it. So far, they have done nothing about it, and that is a bad image for this vehicle.

ELECTRICAL SYSTEM PROBLEM

The electrical system of the 2020 Chevrolet Colorado is highly questionable. There are several reports of wiring problems, and electrical ceases in the components in the vehicle. One driver complained of how the touchscreen system hung, and he could not navigate anything on display. Some also lament about the wiring of the Air Conditioning system abruptly functioning.

Chevrolet turned deaf ears to the claims, and they stated that all the complaints are normal operations for a truck.

ELECTRONIC STABILITY CONTROL PROBLEM

When you picture a truck, the first attribute that comes to mind is a solid rigid vehicle with great stability. Electronic stability control plays a significant part in keeping the vehicle stable, especially through corners and bends. For a mid-size truck like the 2020 Chevrolet Colorado, stability means a lot, and when owners complain about the faulty Electronic Stability Control System, it is a big deal.

So far, the automakers have nothing to say about it, and it looks like it will stay that way for a while.
